| Mathew and his family, Blake and his girlfriend, John and his girlfriend, and Kevin went to Lake McConaughy for some great flying. They arrived at Seagull Beach on the north short of Lake McConaughy on Friday afternoon to a strong north wind from the cold front that had blown through. About 1 hour before sunset, though, the wind died and they flew some of the most benign conditions. All four pilots flew as much as they could that evening in air that felt like thick butter to launch and fly in, watching the sunset to the west.
