The Calhan airport is about a 20 minute drive northeast from Meadowlake on hwy 24. This is a private airport and is home of the Front Range Sky Divers. The owner of the airport has given us verbal permission to fly there. This airport is a nice place to fly due to nice scenery, open spaces and the nearby Paint Mines that are nice to look at and fly over.  Be aware of the nearby hills directly to the south especially when/if strong winds are coming from behind the hills.

USAGE RULES: Refer to the Detailed Site Map for directions and DO NOT FLY ZONES.  Try not to bother the airport's neighbors with a lot of noise flying too close to their houses.  Watch for airport traffic and have a good time!
